This product is handcrafted in a small atelier in Mino, where it is naturally dried and sun-bleached, creating a unique texture. Thanks to the properties of its long fibers, it adheres to glass using only water, without any need for glue. Once completely dried, it can be removed and reused.
Mino is a picturesque small town located in Gifu Prefecture with over 1,300 years of paper-making tradition. This art has been passed down through generations and is still practiced by skilled artisans today. Due to the abundant, clear waters of the Nagara and Itadori rivers, Mino’s paper is considered among the finest in Japan. Japanese paper, commonly known as 'Washi,' is called 'Mino-Washi™' when it originates from Mino (with 'wa' meaning Japan and 'shi' meaning paper).
