A vintage Kokeshi doll representing the finest of Japanese craftsmanship. This piece was crafted in 1982 (Showa 57, a Japanese calendar year) by Shoji Sakurai, the fourth-generation artisan of the Naruko school. Known for preserving tradition while embracing new forms of expression, Sakurai’s works are highly regarded by collectors worldwide. The doll’s hand-painted expression conveys warmth and artistry. It comes without the original box but has been carefully preserved and remains in excellent condition.
